Highlights of the Laubwerk Player 1.0.35 update are:

  • SketchUp: Added SketchUp 2021 support, note highest V-Ray version supported: 4.20.03 (V-Ray 5 support coming soon)
  • Cinema 4D: Various bug fixes and small improvements
  • All platforms: Bug fixes and improvement of Arnold Renderer support, bug fixes for V-Ray materials

Note for our SketchUp and V-Ray customers: Laubwerk Plants do not yet fully support V-Ray 5. With V-Ray 5, Chaos Group released a very powerful upgrade, but it contains major changes that need to be reflected in the Laubwerk Player Plugin. We are currently working closely with Chaos Group to ensure Laubwerk Plants and V-Ray 5 continue to work well together. Please stay tuned!

Highlights of the SurfaceSPREAD 2.0.4 update are:

  • Improved support for IPR renderer (tested with Arnold Renderer and Redshift) using Multi-Instances
  • Fixed a bug that showed invisible geometry in IPR renderers with boxes shown in the Editor

Read the full list of improvements and fixes on the Release Notes page. To get the updates, sign in to your Laubwerk Account Page and download a fresh installer for your Plants Kits, or SurfaceSPREAD. Windows users are advised to uninstall previous versions of their Laubwerk plugin before running the new installer.

Laubwerk Plants Kits enable architects, CG artists, and VFX specialists to insert photo-realistic tree models into their 3D scenes quickly and easily, avoiding the usual slowdowns from overly complicated parameters or excess memory usage. Laubwerk makes this possible by providing just the right amount of options in their 3D tree models, without overwhelming the user or their computer. Each tree model comes in three shapes, with three ages, and four seasons per shape. Adjustable detail level settings mean that each tree looks great without slow navigation or long rendering times.
