Press Release

Spring 2022 Update

Berlin (Germany), April 6, 2022: German digital botany software company Laubwerk announces the release of the Laubwerk Player Plugin 1.0.41 for use with Laubwerk Plants Kits. Laubwerk Plants Kits are collections of beautiful, render-ready 3D plants explicitly created for architects, CG, and VFX artists. Available for SketchUp, Maya, 3ds Max, and Cinema 4D.

Omri Ron (omriron.comron-architects.com) is a Laubwerk with SketchUp & V-Ray user and an architect from Tel Aviv, Israel, specializing in residential building. He recently told us what he loves about Laubwerk: “As an architect - Laubwerk is a great tool for me. Thanks to the large range of trees in Laubwerk – I can always find the species of the tree that exist next to the buildings I plan or the one I want to plant there in the future. Laubwerk helps us produce beautiful, fast and impressive renders and get new customers and new projects to the office. In most renderings – Laubwerk makes all the difference and for me it's a major game changer with V-Ray for SketchUp."

Highlights of the Laubwerk Player 1.0.41 update include:

  • Added support for SketchUp 2022 with native Apple M1 processor support
  • Added support for Autodesk 3ds Max 2023
  • Added support for Arnold Renderer 4.0.0.2 in Cinema 4D
  • Lots of other improvements and bug fixes to make your Laubwerk Player experience even better

Laubwerk Plants are high-quality, customizable 3D plant models for 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, and SketchUp, designed to save time and add natural beauty to any scene. A one-click solution brings realistic render-ready 3D trees to life for architects and CG artists, reducing the need for fine-tuning and encouraging exploration. Innovative technology allows for creative experimentation with multiple, high-density models while efficiently managing the memory footprint. Each tree model comes in three shapes, with three ages and four seasons per shape. Adjustable detail level settings mean that each tree looks great without slow navigation or long rendering times.
