An Explosion of Colors and Shapes
Berlin (Germany), December 22nd, 2023: German digital botany software company Laubwerk returns with two treats! The updated Laubwerk Player Plugin 1.0.48 is now available for use with Laubwerk Plant Kits, and we are excited to announce the release of Plant Kit 22: Temperate Ornamental Perennials. Laubwerk Plant Kits are collections of beautiful, render-ready 3D plants explicitly created for architects, garden and landscape designers, and CG and VFX artists.
Highlights of the Laubwerk Player 1.0.48 update include:
- Fixed a bug that could cause SketchUp to crash when loading the Laubwerk Player
- Fixed a bug that could cause problems with V-Ray for SketchUp
- Fixed a bug that prevented plant common names from appearing in the Asset Editor in SketchUp
- Changed the new default material quality in the Cinema 4D and 3ds Max Laubwerk Browser from medium to high
- Proxy mesh colors in 3ds Max now change based on the selected plant variant and season

Download the new installers and have fun planting! To access the updates, sign in to your Laubwerk Account Page and download a fresh installer for your kits. Windows users are advised to uninstall previous versions of their Laubwerk plugin before running the new installer.
The new Plant Kit 22 is a collection of ten ornamental perennials suited for partial shade, fresh soil, and forest borders in gardens and parks, in temperate regions around the world. Highlights include the spectacular Japanese anemone 'Bressingham Glow', with its beautiful deep pink flowers, and the majestic foxglove 'Dalmatian White'. It also includes the well-known species lily of the valley, with its sweet, bell-shaped white flowers, and bugle 'Elmblut', a mat-forming ground cover with violet-blue flowers. With its vivid colors and dynamic shapes, this kit adds unique detail and structure to your designs.
